Brooke Meenachan Biography
Brooke Meenachan joined the WKBN-27 First News team in 2019 as a Multi-Media Journalist and sideline reporter for WKBN’s Game of the Week.
Brooke was born and raised in Youngstown and graduated from Boardman High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications at Youngstown State University and later went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Sports Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Syracuse.

While at Syracuse, Brooke worked as a graduate assistant for the ACC Network, where she helped produce, sideline reports, and hosted and serve as a color analyst for ACC Network Extra broadcasts.
Prior to joining WKBN, Brooke worked for ESPN and the SEC Network in Charlotte, N.C., and Fox Sports in Cleveland as a Digital Production Assistant.
When she’s not reporting Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, Zach, and their dog, Benny. She also loves watching her favorite sports teams, including the Browns, Indians and Notre Dame. Brooke is excited to be back in the Valley telling stories in the community she grew up in.
