Rusty Lord Biography
Rusty Lord is an American journalist working as a meteorologist for WOWT NBC6 News. He moved on from Iowa State College with a Four-year education in science in Meteorology.
Subsequent to experiencing childhood in Western Iowa, he is excited to be working in Omaha and working in the climate which ignited his advantage in meteorology!
Rusty met his beautiful spouse Liz here in Omaha and they wedded in September of 2015. When not at work, Rusty appreciates unwinding at home with Liz and their bulldogs Wally and Norma Jean.

Lord joined the 6 News First Alarm Weather conditions Group in June 2008 subsequent to working at KDLT-television in Sioux Falls, S.D.
He began on WOWT 6 News Dawn and chipped away at that show for over eight years before he was elevated to Boss Meteorologist in July 2016.
In 2019, he got back to the Dawn show as Boss Meteorologist and has been there from that point forward.
